Gingerbread Man and House, Arrested Development Style

Spread the love

We went to a party at the apartment of a couple former roomies o’ mine.  We watched the Muppet Christmas Carol, ate lots of things I shouldn’t have, and had a merry time.

Part of the fun was decorating those premade gingerbread houses from Wilton and some gingerbread men.  Eric tried to assemble one, but the frosting wasn’t holding it up right and it kept falling down.  He finally was done trying to fix it and started getting creative.  The following scene was born:

This was totally inspired by Arrested Development, which we introduced to our friend Julie recently.  Love that show!  It’s so clever, snarky and witty.  It doesn’t hurt that it was set in Orange County, CA – I was born there.

I’m not entirely sure what is going on in this scene.  Perhaps one of the poorly-constructed model homes fell on a Bluth family member.

Here is what made me laugh and know he was doing an Arrested Development parody.  This, of course, is J. Walter Weatherman, who is a one-armed man that is always giving lessons on the show that somehow involve him losing his fake arm in some seemingly horrific accident.  If you can’t read the frosting, it says “And that’s why you always leave a note”.

Are you a fan of the show? Who is your favorite character?
